    That’s really sketchy. I’m definitely glad they found the murderer, but couldn’t it compromise the integrity of the case if this information was collected illegally?

    Not to mention shattering trust in minority communities, not just with the police, but with public events in general.

    “Don’t go to the cultural event at city hall, they’ll just collect your DNA…”

      This clearly sets a very bad precedent, and I agree that it’s a question of whether evidence collected in such a way should even be admissible. Surely, they could’ve solved the case without resorting to such blatant profiling.
