Wow, that’s neat! Do you mind me asking what kind of work you do that let’s you read?
Yet another refugee who washed up on the shore after the great Reddit disaster of 2023

Not sure how anyone would consider it a brag, any more than listing movies that you watched or whatever. I have the list handy because I make notes about each book so that I can refer back and they don’t blur together. I was just saying it doesn’t seem unbelievable to me.
I did post my list to the SF community here after I had a year’s worth, along with my notes, in case it would help someone else with their reading list, which a number of people said it did. Still not a brag, just info.
The only ones of those I’ve read are The Book Thief, 1984, Fahrenheit 451, and I may have read The Firm. All good books.
He’s mine (all ebooks, so no pictures)
Some of those are novellas, but some of them are really long, so probably balances out. When I’m not working and my chores are done, I’m usually reading.
I’ve read about the same number this year, and work full time. But we hardly watch anything on TV and don’t go to movies.
Edit: I thought I saw it was 44 books, but I see it’s 104, so that’s way more than me. Not someone who works full time, I’d guess.
Not going to ride that one.
Well…
Good ideas, but probably not adequate for things like electrical cords.
But not really less effort than a cat unless you just keep them in a cage, which you shouldn’t do. We had a house rabbit, and I really loved it, but rabbits like to (need to) chew, and bunny-proofing your home is a huge pain. But otherwise they’re kind of similar: easy to litter train, very individual personalities, etc.
Worth noting that those Hyundai and Kia are just certain years.
Oh, are you Brazilian or Argentinian? You would probably know better than me, but doesn’t that kind of vinagrete have vinegar and oil in it? Like this? I think it’s similar but different.
This is a terrible one. It looks more like a menu from a novelty hotdog stand that just named their dishes based on some weird stereotype. I’m really surprised there isn’t a California dog with avocado on it (because apparently you can make anything California-style by adding avocado).
Our house is a little obnoxious for them. When you come in the front door, you’re on a tile floor. To the left there’s a step down to a dining room that connects at the far end to the kitchen. At the end of the tile on the right is a step down to the living room, hall, and a bedroom we use as an office. Then there are stairs to the upper level with three bedrooms. So to cover the place with robot vacuums, we’d need four of them. I was tempted to get one for upstairs, but we have one for the dining room and kitchen and it’s gotten so noisy. I don’t want the noise upstairs. I’m sure a newer one would be quieter.
We have two dogs and a cat, so even once a week is pushing it for us. I vacuum just the living room and the canister is packed.
Good list, but vacuuming only monthly is something only a person who hasn’t had hardwood/tile floors would suggest. Once you’ve seen how much dust and hair collects on the floor, you’re not going to want to do it less than weekly.
I honestly wish this community would stop posting the fake guides, especially when safety is involved. There is going to be some percentage of people who think this is real, and doing this in an AHB swarm would be more than a little dangerous.
It literally is. Here’s a legitimate page about AHBs.
No, they’re literally all the opposite of what you’re supposed to do
I’ve read the second, which I liked tremendously, but haven’t gotten to the third yet.
