Thank you as an adult with lifelong severe combined type I was sick of the myths as a teenager and as I near 30 I’m angry. My parents weren’t told “hey, her memory is possibly gonna suck and she’s gonna probably need some extra coaching on emotional regulation, especially at a young age.” Instead I got yelled at for crying over small things and told that I have meds so I should be perfectly normal.

Meanwhile now at my age I have to fight against doctors regularly to maintain my prescription and I have to phrase shit so as to not sound desperate for my “function as an adult” pills that let me do things like drive, maintain employment, and stay off my wife’s nerves

Exactly, I can’t imagine a situation beyond sheer desperation that I’d go to a black market grocer

Why don’t we like that though? Social workers are great. They’re people we hire to do shit for people who need it. We do get value out of them and they often save us money or provide quite a bit of value

Yeah but you probably didn’t forget about Baltimore. I’d argue Arkansas or Rhode Island is most forgettable, well I would if I didn’t get reminded of Delaware after remembering these states. It’s not big enough to matter. It’s first but so what. I couldn’t tell you a single city in it or fact about it except that it’s first and in the northeast fucking somewhere. If you left it off a map of the United States and just included it in whatever state it’s next to who would really notice? I assume I’ve been there, but I have to assume so because for the life of me I can’t fucking remember.

Do you not have liquor in plastic bottles? It’s never the good shit, but cheap shit is often in plastic and this is the cheapest shit. As an American I spend about $29ish CAD on 1.5L on dirt cheap local bourbon. Maybe I could get as low as $20 CAD on vodka barely fit for human consumption for 1.5L. But 4L I’m not getting for less than $40 CAD
