Irving should be banned from bidding on any Canadian contracts ever again.
And before the nationalists jump in, I don’t gaf if they’re the only Canadian company capable of jobs like this. If they can’t do it right they can listen to Al.

More significantly, the estimated cost of the program has risen to somewhere between $750 million and $1 billion, from an initial projection of $499 million.
Winnipeg’s NIMBYists on full display here.
“In my view, the fact that Mr. Ahmo said that he could not breathe on numerous occasions and that seemingly there was no medical assistance offered to him standing alone is not determinative of this case,” Cellitti said.
What a load of horseshit. I usually have a lot of respect for our judicial system and judges in general, but this guy is so far off base it’s not even funny.
I hope the prosecution appeals this ruling.
Maybe it was enacted post-9/11 when the rumour mill was screaming that all the hijackers had funneled through Canada to the US.
shrugs
Ok. Do you have proof Canada adopted it from the US?
The provincial maximum on rent-controlled apartments last year was 2.5 per cent, but Sharpe’s building has no limit because Ontario Premier Doug Ford removed controls on any rental units built or occupied after November, 2018.
Drug Fraud … the asshole of Ontario.
The actual number is 45%, but the feds only projected 35%.
The new policy limits the number of student visa applications the government would accept into processing, and it’s expected that will result in a 35 per cent drop in the number of students in 2024 compared to last year. Source
Here is the history of why universities started relying so heavily on foreign student enrollment (non-paywall link - https://ghostarchive.org/archive/dh065 )
The CRTC stopped working for the benefit of Canadians a long time ago.
sigh
The two letter designations came in the late 90’s and are used by Canada Post in automated sorting.
I can find no history of Canada adopting this system from the US.

When gov’ts keep shit like this secret it never goes well.
Release it.
Be Fucking Honest
I’m in my mid 60’s … so back when I was growing up in Saskabush, in the pre-postal code era, almost every province was shortened to the first few letters of its name, ie: Alta, Sask, Man, Nfld, etc.
After the introduction of postal codes it changed to the two letter designation.
The teen handed over his weapons, ran away, and the cops shot him to death.

ACAB
This mom would be far more dangerous than the average tho, because she’s gotta be almost starving trying to feed 6 cubs.
Unironically?
But politicians don’t come with facts, so when choosing who to believe I’ll always side with whoever comes ready with data to support their view.
Last week, National Post reported that a parliamentary battle is brewing between Hogan and the House of Commons because she has so far refused to comply with a June order to hand over all documents relating to her audit of SDTC.
The RCMP also wrote a letter to the committee over the summer expressing its discomfort with the order, which ordered the law clerk to hand over all the government’s documents on SDTC to the national police force.
In the article, retired senior parliamentary counsel Stephen Chaplin argued that the order likely abused Parliament’s powers.
During Tuesday’s hearing, Khalid read portions of the article into the record while arguing that the June motion adopted by opposition parties violated both the auditor general and RCMP’s independence.
Sounds like this IS an illegal fishing expedition by PP and his hoard of duplicitous underlings.
Not according to Jason Cairney, second vice-president of the Fire Chiefs Association of B.C.
He says during a fire, 42 per cent of the time smoke impacts primary egress pathways. Sixty-eight per cent of fire-related deaths are due to smoke inhalation.
Fire chiefs come with stats. Politicians come with YT videos. I’m sticking with the experts here.
Yup. The whole Irving empire is just one big cesspool that should be broken up.
