I wonder if it’s meant to contrast to a “chaste courtship” sort of thing. Just a wild guess, though.

I was just going by the post title rather than what’s in the image.

Old world except for most of the world
Right one is 100% used in Japan. Particularly at bars and such for keeping track of how many of that drink the person/table has ordered.
That’s neat, but continent-scale is wayyyy too big IMO (especially given the continents as divided here aren’t especially close in size in some cases). I’d love to see this broken down by country.
That’s crazy. I don’t raise chickens right now, but I do follow a lot of farm/homestead content with people who do raise poultry for meat. I had considered raising my own egg-layers (just a couple) since I have plenty of space for them to run around and delicious bugs to eat. I have no idea what breeds we have here in Japan, though, for any use case.
Are these the same breed of chicken? For example, Cornish Cross or American Breast or something? If not, it does feel kinda weird comparing them. If they are all the same base breed, that’s some totally crazy selection going on there.
For clarity/example, comparing a Cornish Cross from 1970 against one from 2000 is different than comparing a Cornish Cross from 1970 against an American Breast in 2000. I just wanted to clarify what was being compared.
I suppose that’s another way to interpret it. The “clean up spills” part made me a bit concerned as to the type of spills and conditions in which the animal would be living.
I don’t know what else replace would mean here. I don’t think most people are using a new watering dish that frequently.
I actually don’t mind that part at all; the way I read this just made me concerned for the welfare of an animal.
The person who needs this list apparently has a dog and needs to be told to give it water. They should not have a dog
Wife: cold/snow and to a lesser degree, level of English (she has no French) and requiring a car/license in a lot of places. Me: cold but also housing prices, and watching various Canadian systems trying at various levels to imitate shitty American ones.
I have a 200v induction cooktop. My only complaint so far is that I don’t quite have as fine-grained control as I did with gas, but that doesn’t matter most of the time. It also isn’t heating up and around the pan. In any case, I have a portable casette gas stove if I really want to make Chinese in a wok with high heat and the flame coming up the sides.
My water heater is an eco-cute and does quite well for energy efficiency. It was a bit of a change coming back from instant on-demand gas water heaters, but it’s fine now that I’m used to it.
